Islam is a religion just like Christianity or any other. Not sure why you have put it in quotes. And like any religion, when it has access to the law and state, it is inhuman and brutal. Religion as a private belief is no one’s business. Our issue is with religion in the judicial system – whether sharia, Beth Din or Ecclesiastic courts.

I live in the US where some states are enacting laws which will forbid Sharia Law from being implemented in said states. However, our Federal Government has taken from us many previously held state’s rights and it will not surprise me should Sharia Law be implemented nationwide from Washington since there are many persons in high government positions who are either members of or sympathetic to the Muslim Brotherhood. Our country made it possible during the “Arab Spring” for the Muslim Brotherhood to take over whole countries, i.e. Egypt and Libya. Now it is Syria which will soon be overrun with barbarians and where Sharia Law will be the law of the land.

Great Britain has a long and honorable history. Please do not allow these idiots to take over your country. The last time I was there there were women openly running around in their shrouds and, as I understand current British law, one is forbidden to even mention it or their backward, inhumane “Religion.”

I like your objectives and style, but I’m a little disappointed by this website so far, by the lack of articles, and by the quality of this one, both in terms of style and substance.

I realise the importance and the interest in an article by a former BNP supporter, but the arguments advanced here are not the best ones (it ignores much that is repulsive about the BNP, while it misunderstands English law, within which harrassment is always illegal, but ‘making someone feel unwelcome’ never is), and the article is not very well written or set out. Most people in the UK are not great writers, but that doesn’t mean that articles should be published unedited and unrevised. The end product is important.

I’m glad this website exists, but it would be helpful to read more about this thing called ’shariah law’, to see more engagement with – or counterarguments to – its advocates, and to see more activity generally.

About time that the BBC,channel four, stood up for what is right. DV8’s dance/polemic CWTAT,should be given airtime.No organisation,or person should “KOW TOW” to the sensibilities of a dogma of such medieval cruelty,anti women mind set as SHARIA “LAW”,it seems open to interpretation of any extremist zealot. If a DVD becomes available ,I will certainly purchase it! I have all of the DV8 dance DVDs currently on sale,Loyd Newson’s choreography is unique,and inspiring,a true master of the craft.Ignored by the BBC, for reasons of political correctness, and timidity on a scale hitherto only equalled by the pre-war pacifism of some members of the cabinet of Neville Chamberlain > yours ,sincerely Peter Dixon.
